Did you know that MasterMine adds new fields from time to time that can be very useful in managing your GoldMine database? GoldMine’s data structure itself rarely changes, but we are constantly adding features to MasterMine, often in response to user requests.
Here are a few examples (see more in Appendix F of the MasterMine user manual).
C1.PrimaryEmail Merge, C1.EmailRecId:
This is the merge codes field from primary e-mail. Managing this field, especially using MMUpdater, is a key to good management of e-mail marketing activity. The record ID of the e-mail address record is necessary for MMUpdater work with e-mail addresses.
C1.WebSite:
Pulls the website for each account record, if present. For marketing or sales purposes, it’s often useful to have quick access to prospects’ websites. Your salespeople don’t know how to quickly see which accounts, or how many, are missing website info. Use this field in a data cleanup project to quickly remedy the situation.
C1.PostalZone:
Returns the first 3 characters of the Zip code. For geographic segmenting.
CH.DaysSince, CA.DaysTill, PH.DaysFromToday:
For history, pending, and combined pending and history respectively, returns the number of days between the activity and today. Very useful for 30-60-90 analysis and such when used in combination with numeric grouping inside your report.
CA.OnHour, CH.OnHour:
The hour of day during which an activity happens, i.e. 10:38 AM groups with the 10 AM activities. Very useful for daily calendar or billable/non-billable hours reporting.
CA.Alarm:
Date when alarmed activities are set. Use MMUpdater to make Alarms useful again, by managing alarmed activities from above.
See more “special fields” in Appendix F of the MasterMine user manual. Use your own creativity to create useful analytical reports using these fields.
Be sure to submit your own requests for new features and fields as they occur to you. Just send an e-mail to support@mastermine.net and we’ll take the best ones into consideration for a future build of MasterMine.
